Not too bad, not too bad!

Bad things

-Clarity wasn't at it's best this time. The bass notes would sometimes come out too far, farther than normal. The bass drum wasn't that great with it's quality either, but that was more or less the sample used for the bass drum.

-You could have taken time to fix the clarity.

Good things

-Very nice composition.

-The piece definitely feels 100% original. It has a much different rock feel to it than usual.

-Lots of great instrumentation!

-Great job, you're getting better, just fix those clarity issues, if possible!

Soundshifter responds:

ya thanks for your imput man, i was fooled around with the eq so many times, but it ended up screwing up, so i dicided to let it be, I'll try to fix it and post another

thanks again

Pretty cool!

Bad things

-You could have used an organ sample, and then strings as a backup, and maybe a high pitched string for higher notes, and that would probably sound 50% better, since that would add more feeling to what this song could be.

-Quality of samples could be better.

Good things

-Not very repetitive, and pretty as well.

-Nice composition.

---Great job overall! Keep it up!

ExpectExpansion responds:

Thanks for the feedback! I agree I need better samples. If you know of any good places to get them (vst plugins for example) plz let me know (=.

Sweet!

This isn't a bad submission at all! Nice job!

Bad things

-The clarity suffers just a little when the synths get slightly distorted after the calm part in the beginning.

-Slightly repetitive.

-You used some techniques I've heard in some other songs in the beginning.

Good Things

-After the distortion, it was very pleasant!

-Fun, catchy tune.

-You obviously took some time to make some of this.

-Nice samples!

Great job, you're on the right track!

-8/10, 5/5!

i was afraid some one would knotice that i have some repedtitve stuff in there...but im glad ya summed down the good AND the bad in there ^.^

Whoa whoa whoa!

Slow down! You're not getting any better by putting random songs here that only take you an hour at most! Take it easy, and take your time with your songs, and learn to get better. You're only making yourself a worse name by putting stuff up that people wouldn't usually want to listen to.

-Don't use the FL samples, find some that you like, sounds that make the song the way you like

it. Get some plugins too, they help A LOT!

-Just make this your own, not Fruity Loops style. People get bored of that after a while.

-Just keep trying, you'll get there : )

safe for the advice. having heard your music i see where you're coming from (you've got some complicated tracks man!)i'll try and take my time from now on. By the way "all is finished" and "recovery..." are some beautiful tracks man! I'll keep on trying and one day maybe i'll get up to your level...hopefully! :)

Sweet!

The ragtime adds a new feel to the song in general. It's more fulfilling in a sense. The Zelda ragtime was okay, but the Mario one seemed to do better, probably because of it's composition, it's easier to ragtime than the zelda melody. It's still pretty good though.

Bad Things

-Piano only mixes of video game music, especially zelda and mario, have been done many times.

-The chord progression at the beginning of the Zelda ragtime just didn't make a lot of sense. They seemed off. Either that, or the chord progression just doesn't work in ragtime.

Good Things

-Nice ending!

-A ragtime feel like this, I don't think I've heard. And it also took a lot to transfer this to ragtime.

-Clarity is awesome!

-Catchy the way you played it.

Overall, it's not bad. Keep working at it!

i'm glad it helped u with your stress

Cool!

Extremely cool! For someone with little musical training, you sure have good ears. I guess I would classify this as more of a new wavey song, but I guess posting in something like industrial would get you more coverage anyways :)

-Great job, keep it up!

Go for it!
Just please credit me and Alex if you do.

It's so engaging!

I could easily see why you won $1000 for this song. It's got a lot of feeling, even with the okay recording. The playing is just masterful, I haven't heard anything so diverse in quite awhile (okay, a day or two, but still :P). This is seriously an awesome talent you've got here. I heart it!

-Awesome stuff, keep at it!

Sevanimation responds:

Thanks for the compliments bud

Pretty sweet.

I'll fiven just 'cause I do that kinda stuff.

-This tune, eh? It's always a nice one, and you made your own for the most part. The bass backround is hard of hearing, so turn that up, because the bass is usually a foundation for your song as well as the drums. The clarity on the crash hits cackled a little, along with the snare, the sample isn't that great. It's a nicer composition of it though. Don't overuse the snare buildup too much! It could distract after a while.

-Good try, hope to see yah get better!

Uly responds:

Thanks so much for your review, I will take into consideration what you suggested before releasing my next one (Louder bass and better drum management).

So, I think I'll deem 5 dowloads and 3 votes for it a success, for now. ;)
