You're getting there!

You seem to be on the brink of a very sweet idea. Like an Evenescene type of song, if you know what kind of band they are. If not, you're basically on the brink to some sweet classical pieces mixed with some upbeat drums. It's not a bad idea, but it's seems too bassy for what you're trying to do. Seriously, if you want that heavenly part to it, the bass has either got to have one part by itself, like a solo, or very quiet, it can't rule over the main melody.

-It is missing something, but it's hard to put a finger on it as well. I could guess forever though. How 'bout a part with no drums and just the synths for the chorus part just playing, and the drums build back into it, and add some electric guitar to the song. Another countermelody or two would be nice as well. A sound change in the drums would be appropriate as well, as it doesn't seem to enhance the song with what you've got.

-Not bad though, come rate some of my techno, you're bound to love it!

Hey i remember Evanescence but i only heard they first few tracks, after that i really have no clue as to what they became. I thought that the girl was going to sing solo? Anyways...

Yea i had a really hard time with the bass and it's volume level. I think this song is best heard with a headset because i have one basline playing on the left speaker and another one on the right :D

Those are some suggestions that you have brought and they might come in handy in the futur. Except for that electric guitar one... especially not with fruity loops, the electric guitars sound like crap.

Thanks a bunch for the review.

I don't care what you say...

...the piano just owned this song, how the mood went, the dynamics, it was very cool to listen to! The supporting synths were very nice. In all, it gave the song a very medival theme, which is kinda wierd with the Metroid theme, but very acceptable nevertheless.

-Check out my techno songs and rate them, and great job on a great mini-piece here!

Distortzion responds:

Medieval? LOL! I used so much reeverb to let it sound quite cave-ish, and that is really metroid-ish ^_^

Anyway, thx for the rev. Look out for revs from me :D

Weee!!!

-This is pretty tight for your first submission! The beginning and all that was pretty tight. Your buildups need to be a little more involved to be as long as you made them, but they were pretty fun. The main melody and the bass groove was pretty tight. I dunno, I was thinking 80's techno? Either way, it was pretty good.

-You might want to look out and try not to use sounds/synths that don't sound nicely with your other synths, it turns people off when it just doesn't sound right. Most of the synths were pretty good, but some just didn't mix.

-You also might want to look at song structure. Listen to music that you like, and pick stuff up from it, and play around with it, you never know where you'll go : )

-Great job, check out my techno and rate/review it, prefered that you rate it 'cause I'm fighting teh zero voters. But whatever you want to do, lol.

-Great job on an awesome song.

Syntrus responds:

i'll do that

Sweetness!

Awesome mix you've got here! Lot's of change-ups, and the good ZENON touch. This was a treat to listen to. The synths were sometimes very techno-ie, but it was still pretty cool. The ending was very remeniscent of a warhead explosion. Maybe a couple of more intense parts would kick this song up to speed.

-Nice job! Come check out my techno stuff and rate/review it!

PERVOK responds:

Thanks for the review, I'll try to drop a review later :)

Sweet!

Pretty nice, it really would work nicely for menu music for a game. Seriously, it's got every element for menu music, great looping, lots of diversity, and just entirely fun to listen to. There really isn't anything I can think of that's wrong with it, though this should really pass more for DnB music, and not dance, but yeah, more of personal opinion.

-Great job, check out some of my songs, especially my new techno release, TJS-Latino Casino. Rate/Review, if you'd like. Good luck with future productions!!!

-SuperDrummer146

Amoeboy responds:

I would have to disagree about the DnB thing, though I see where you're coming from. i was well aware that if i'd put this in the DnB section it would've been downrated fast as you like though, dnb is usually around the 180 bpm mark and breakbeat definately resides more in the dance tempo range of around 130-150.
Thanks for your input and i'll check your tunes out asap

Not bad!!!

Wow, you suprised me with that transfer into the rock part, that was tight!!! Still, it was slightly repetitive, maybe if you changed it around more, not like the part with the circus melody, that was slightly aquward, but if you shortened it to make that the eventual ending, it would end up pretty nice with a volume decrease, like a fade out.

So basically, more diversity and kick, but for a start, not bad. Good job, keep up!

P.S. It seems the vocovoice was too soft, as I couldn't hear it too nicely, or was it meant to be like that?

-SuperDrummer146

Xyanide responds:

well yeah it's just a little joke project it just took me 2 hours or something :P but it's strange that you can't hear the vocovoice properly i think you should try headphones in stead of speakers listening to it since i used headphones also to mix it (not just any headphones of course ;) i got sennheiser baybeh! :P) but yeah you're right it gets a bit to repetative before the break(down) and yeah it's supposed to be awkward hehe the superfeedback guitar and the whistles were recorded from playing on my midi controller hehe ^_^

Alright...

-I'm actually going to give you a good, solid review, which I do not so frequently, since I'm lazy (bad SuperDrummer146!), but ya know, here it goes!

-The happy hardcore thing is an interesting idea. It's got brightness, but the way you presented it, it had brightness, depth, and style. It was really fun to watch it build up to something pretty tight, you got more complicated as the song progressed. At the beginning, in that repeated section of the first groove, but then where it got quiet for the buildup, you might want to think about turning down the high-pitched synth there for the purpose of clarity and some killer dynamic contrast.

You really should take time to progress this song even further, like 3-4 minutes. By seeing what you've done so far, you can really make this a totally PoWnAgE song. Seriously, it would be great with a bridge, and other stuff. So keep it up, challenge yourself daily, and do you best!

-SuperDrummer146

Synkon responds:

thanks for the constructive review man, i will definately try and make this song an actual song rather than a repeating loop. :D

Okay...

That was not so bad. There was some really great drum work there, especially with the high hat work, that was pretty cool. Nice bass area, but the melody seems to lack a bit.

The clarity in itself kinda lacked as well. It was too bassy, and I know techno or whatever can be bassy, but how you mixed it kinda ruined the song. The song was also slightly crackly, which could have been my speakers, but I dunno.

Good try, keep challenging yourself!

-SuperDrummer146

StormEagle1984 responds:

Yeah thays fl studio. and for the life of me I don't know how to make the crackly thing go away.

Pretty good...

I've got nothing against it except for the fact that it really wasn't complete without some intense drum action. Your melodies and stuff were really complicated, but your drums were too generic. Keep working on it, you've really got talent with melodies and stuff. Just work on that percussion!

-SuperDrummer146

kliker responds:

Yeah. thats true. Thx

Arrg!

Good song, but the only problem I've got is the quality of those drums. Ah! Whatever sound you used, it really hurt to listen to, and it really wasn't that musical.

For a first song though, it was alright. Keep working at it, you'll get somewhere : )

Nero-SteveO responds:

Normally it would be better if i could submit it with for eg 128 Kbit/s but thats against the rules
