Pretty cool, but you need to make a full edition of this song, it's really short, and really not meant to be a loop. I mean, everything about it is alright, it may be to your advantage to add a heavier bass part, but otherwise, it's great!

Take to the seas, we shall! This song revolves around the idea that pirates should be adventure seekers, always taking the high seas with intensity, and tranquility when needed. The wind blows into your face, the smell of danger and excitment are everywhere, but it seems as though it can't be remembered for a while. Extension of the song in its entirety is needed. Though this is meant as a loop right now, it really needs to be a complete adventure, not the same one being used, over and over.
Much of the song spends its focus on a steady, colonial, pirate related theme with a great half-time feeling drum beat that switches to the designated time to complete what the song has. Intense string action helps to show some creative working with the enthusiastic drum beat and the high vocal sounds incorporated into the song.
If you ever plan to make this a full song, dynamics will be key to your sucess, along with cresendos and decresendos as well. To keep a good pirate song, there must be the feeling that anything could happen at the next stage of the game, every second can't be guaranteed. This is present, but however, is slightly lacking due to an empty space where some more dynamics could be used. They are there, but it isn't as dynamic as it could be.
All of the instruments groove nicely with each other, as they also work together, and intertwine to give the song a really fun sense to it.
Overall, this is not a bad song, but it needs great expansion to cover all seven seas to the fullest. Great job, hope to see more music with Reason!

An interesting theory you've got here. What if aliens did have a rock band? Well, first of all, it would be under general rock instead of Drum and Bass. Second, it would be more intense, and third, it would have more instrumentation.
The main melody is very pleasing, and it's also a nifty tune. Mix that with some horrible drum sounds, and no current variation and no other instruments, and you have a tune that will catch somebodies attention, then have their attention decrease, little by little. The drum sound you have is good for the beginning and the guitar you have for the beginning are nice, but they need to eventually transfer into a hard rock guitar, something intense. It can't sound like a banjo on the guitar the whole time (but if you mixed it with some hardcore guitar it might be nicer). And the drums need to sound real after a while, that continuation is suicidal to the effect that you'd want you're song to have.
Think about it. Would you want to hear a song that seems the same the whole time, or would you rather it have some other spices, chill and thrills, and other spectacular showing in it? What you've got is a good, solid piece that repeats itself. It's like the song doesn't know what else is out there to offer for itself. It can only say what it knows, it doesn't have imagination, and can only be factual. Try puting some other wacky instruments in there. It would be a nice change from just guitar and drums.
Really, this song has lots of potential, and I can see what you can do with it. I could imagine the beginning part just as an intro, and then some hardcore playing this like it should, and all the aliens using the "rock-on" sign, seriously, this could be awesome. Just keep working at it, find programs that offer some great drums sounds, mettle with counter-melodies, and bass parts, and you'll be on you're way!

I am very thankful for your review. Yeah I dont have a program... I used my petal which had a synth and a metronome drum beat. So I couldnt really change much. I really do wish I had some program. Originality: A nice intro, nice and peaceful, until you get into the crazy chorus. The intro and outro (you're ending, just so you know) we're really the best parts of your songs. Catchy, and everything seemed to match. You had a great mixing of the guitars, and your voice really matched the mood of the song in the intro. Chorus was crazy too, it was a move from slightly depressed to a happier tune. And with that, you hinted some ambient-like stuff into the song. Nice job!

Diversity: Lots of stuff, you have added. Drums, guitars, vocals, and other instruments that seemed to make the song flow really nicely. Of course, I see why you get at me with my songs being repetitive. Though you have a basic verse, chorus, and bridge system, you were able to do so much with it. You've defenitely got a talent for writing music.

Clarity: Good in the beginning. Mixed really well. But there's the chorus and the outro that really need some balance issues worked out. Not all of the instruments seem to be heard really well, like your guitars are too soft and you're drums slightly too loud for what you're really going for. It's played so loud that it seems that the drum sound is distorted. This is the only thing holding you back from making this a really solid piece.
Clarity Score: 18/25
Effort: You've really put out your effort so much to make this such a great song, but you ruined with your clarity. It's a good song, don't get me wrong, but what you've done is put a great piece on bad sound, which doesn't mix well. Spend some time working towards a better recording system or the such.
This isn't an end of the world thing, the clarity doesn't kill your song and make it really bad or anything, but the clarity is spliting the difference betwen good and awesome.

Your comments made me very happy, and I can only agree on the sound quality. It has never been intended to be more than a demo. Recording was analogue, and rushed - the playing was so inconsistent in the louder parts that we couldn't find the time to do the in-depth mixing it would require...

Originality-Wow, you are great with pianos! Now that I've said that, by using the piano, you've created something that has it's own voice compared to the real song. The piano has such a nice tone to it for most parts of this song. It has a theater feel to it, like something you'd hear with a 1950's Spiderman, if there was ever such thing.
Overall, great job right here. Truely original even though you were doing you're own version of the song!
Diversity: Only instrument you had was piano, but that doesn't make it bad by far. With just the piano, you were able to add so much depth with dynamics. Especially with the 16th-note areas, they seem so much more beautiful on the piano (I also really liked the high notes on your piano, they're so lovely!!!)

Effort: You can really see the effort you put into this song, especially with the challenge of using piano to recreate a whole masterpiece. Great job!

Really a nice piece. Haven't seen too much like this. Epic-trance is defenitely IN!!! Let's get to the review!
Originality: Because of how you made this an epic-trance piece, you really gave this a nice feel for the song. Lot's of stuff that I don't hear for trance music. Maybe if pumped up the bass, you could make this a DDR music dance, it really captured everything about DDR, catchy tune, and the crowd in the backround gave it that concerty, arcade feel to it.
Diversity: The use of more than one type of drums (normal trance and drumset like) gave this piece more depth to the song. All those different instruments also gave this a really nice feel. Everything seemed to entangle itself perfectly, the cogs turned normally, and then through out some tricks too. Really interesting to listen to.
Clarity: I'm surprised to hear that with all those sounds, that you were able to keep up all the different sounds in the music. It seemed, however, the bass drums in the more trancy-like parts seemed to fade under the music, which wasn't entirely too pleasing. Otherwise, pretty good.
Effort: YEAH!!! Defenitely heard it in this piece. It did seem like you could have had "just a little more fun", but for what you did, it seemed really good.
Overall: An outstanding piece showing a reach towards the zenith of trance. Nice job, keep it up!
Wow, a really nice review you've written there. You're right though, I did have a bit of an issue with the low freqs, but I had to down them as I had about 8 bass drums playing at once in some sections... Although, I was trying to keep emphesis on the strings, which wasn't easy with so many bassy instruments in the track.

Alright, a different techno song. Use of other sounds instead of music that enhance the music and strings behind an upbeat of sweetness. Or is it. Read on!!!
Originality: Much different than what I usually hear. Rain behind the actual music, which I'll talk more about in the Clarity section. But it has an interesting pop to it, with the strings and the drum beat with. Though it's used out there, and your use isn't the best, you had more of an independent feel to it, which was really cool. The melody spoke of freedom, hope, and discovery of a new world. This new world was somewhat off track inside the city, but worked in a mediocre standpoint.
What I mean is, at 1:53 in your song, with the new melody, it seemed to get off track with the drums. Either you have this instrument coming in at a very aquard spot, or the rhythm doesn't fit in entirely. Putting aside whether you meant to do that or not, it wasn't entirely pleasant to listen to. If you better aligned it with the drums, it would be better off.
After that, you began to explore the jungles of the new world. This was defenitely the peak of your song, pleasent in every aspect. The rain at the very end sounded real, but at the beginning...
Overall for this section, you did alright. Some major improvements could have been done, but it still held out on it's own.

Diversity: Yeah, good ol' Caribbean/Arabian feel with some cool instruments. It sounded really good too. I'm surprised that with all the instruments, that most of them were heard very nicely. Nothing entirely over the top, but some very useful stuff was used to enhance the song to be rememberable.
Once more, the strings held out nicely with the upbeat drums. The drums, by the way, were very diverse, cool use of most of the kit.
Good use of instrementation with melodies and the bass line are noted as well. Good job.

Clarity: No other sounds other than music, except for one thing.
At the beginning, you have to be careful using that rain. When it kept going without instrumentation support, it seemed to have more of a tin-foily sound to it instead of rain. Otherwise, you're good.

The intermittent woodwind track was definitely meant to be completely off from the rest of the piece, and have a little weird synchopation with the drums. I like how it turned out, sorry it didn't suit you.

Awesome piece you've got here! A nice, techno-ish piece that I'm pretty sure would get itself into a video game. Fun to listen to, and lots of power in the melodies!
Originality: I've heard a couple of techno-like pieces done for video games, but this stands out in its own way. The first thing that came to mind was the video game Metroid. A lot of styles from previous pieces combined into an awesome showcase.

Diversity: Killer transitions, though it bums me out that I didn't hear more to it. It reached a fixed climax, and it didn't seem to get more intense. It might be my preferences getting in the way though...
The melodies seemed to groove quite well with the bass backround. Really a treat to listen to! I defenitely like that ending touch you've added at the end with the "Game Boy-ish" sounding melody, it really added more to this piece in its video game genre. Really a nice choice!
It seems, however, you could have an overall better backround, with more countermelodies and the such. It just didn't seem there.

Originality: I believe this isn't your song since you did a cover, but don't get me wrong, this is a sweet cover, awesome to listen to. Began with a great acoustic start!
